106 Students take part in Bronze DofE Practice Expedition
In the midst of a global pandemic, life has been different for all of us, but excitingly, on the 15th of May, our own school field became a campsite. After a day of walking through the fields around Rugby RHS was a welcome sight, especially following a close encounter with a protective horse. Fuelled by sugar and a positive attitude, the dreich weather did not dampen our spirit nor our determination, and we made it back with time to spare. Setting up our tent was a bit of a struggle, however, the kindness of the D of E leaders proved more than useful to our attempts and eventually, we managed to put up sufficient shelter. Cooking on the Trangia was also interesting as we had not done it for a year but the result was delicious. Thank you very much to everyone involved with making it a thoroughly enjoyable day.
