Ansruta Ayyalasomayajula has achieved a Silver Award in this year's UK Linguistics Olympiad. 

Ms Strudwick: This is a really impressive achievement as it means she's in the top 15% of entrants - and she's only in Year 11!"

Talking about her Olympiad Experience, Ansruta said, “In the Olympiad, you are given 2.5 hours to decode different languages some of which are extinct, others are made up and some are contemporary languages.  I really like languages and finding the connections between them. I’m planning on taking French, Spanish, Maths and Physics for A Level.”
